Must run in the Family

Each year the honorary Buc Days ‘Man on a Horse’ herds a group of broncs in front of a large crowd across the grounds of the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi. This year being the 26th annual Miller Light Pro Rodeo Corpus Christi, Luke Priestly, 10, will be that man. Luke is the son of PRCA steer roper Walter Preistly, who is on the Buc Day Commission and is a chair for the Steer Roping. Luke, like the rest of his family volunteers with the rodeo and helps run the family farm. He also has been known to compete in mutton busting and also in Ranch Branding competitions with some PRCA champions.
